Function and types POWER SUPPLY

Power Supply is a hardware device that functions to direct voltage supply kekomponen in the casing that requires a voltage, for example, motherboard, hard drive, fan, etc. Input power supply in the form of alternating current (AC) so the power supply must convert the AC voltage into a DC (direct current), because the computer hardware can only be operated with DC current. A. Power Supply type AT

In this AT Power Supply types, the ON / OFF button is connected directly to the casing. To turn on and turn off the computer, we have to press the power button on the front of the casing. Power Supply AT type is used only limited to the Pentium II computer age. In the era of Pentium III and above or up to now, there is no computer that uses Power Supply type AT.
B. Power Supply ATX type
Power Supply ATX (Advanced Technology Extended) is a type of Power Supply kinds of latest and most widely used today. The fundamental difference in the type AT and ATX PSU that is in its power button, if Power Supply ATX AT using Switch and use the buttons to envy signal to the motherboard such as the power button on the keyboard.
